Meta-owned WhatsApp is now one of the most regularly updated apps of all time. WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature for the beta version of Android that allows users to add or change contacts without leaving the app.
Prior to this, WhatsApp did provide a shortcut that allowed users to rapidly add contacts, but the function made use of the phone's default contact app. However, users of the most recent WhatsApp Android beta version can rapidly add new contacts to their list without leaving the application.
You can ensure that the feature is accessible to you in WhatsApp by opening your contact list and selecting the "New contact" button if you have joined the WhatsApp beta program on the Google Play Store. If the functionality is available, you will be directed to a new screen within the app. You will be prompted to enter your contact information, including your first and last names, phone numbers, and the location where you want to preserve the data.
Users can change current contact information and add new contacts with this feature. This is quite helpful when compared to the previous method, in which WhatsApp is directed to the default contacts app. However, suppose the new functionality is not yet available on your device. In that case, it may take some time, as the developers are currently rolling it out to beta testers.
