Indian IT services and consulting company Tech Mahindra has announced that Mohit Joshi, the former Infosys President, will become their next CEO and Managing Director. He will take over the charge from C P Gurnani, Tech Mahinda's long-time MD and CEO, after his retirement on December 19, 2023.
According to the company statement, Mohit Joshi's date of joining will be effective from December 20, 2023, for a period of five years.
Infosys said in a statement that Joshi resigned from his post on March 11 after working there for more than 20 years. But he will be considered under leave from March 11, 2023, and his final date with the Company would be June 9, 2023. The Board of Directors place on record their gratitude for the services rendered by Mohit Joshi and his contribution to the Company.
As President at Infosys, Joshi handled the Global Financial Services, AI/Automation portfolio, Healthcare and Life Sciences, and Software businesses, which include Finacle (a global banking platform). He has also worked as Sales Operation and Transformation lead.
Since 2020, he has been a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc.
In 2014, he attended the prestigious Global Young Leader Program at the World Economic Forum. He also held the Vice Chairman position of the Economic Growth Board of Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and was a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Before joining Infosys in 2000, he worked with ABN AMRO Bank and ANZ Grindlays Bank.
Mohit Joshi did his schooling at Delhi Public School, RK Puram, and then at St Stephen's College, Delhi University, he completed his graduation in History. After that, he pursued his MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
