Reliance Jio announced on Wednesday, March 15, to extend its True 5G services to 34 more cities across 10 states, making the total coverage of 365 cities.
A Jio spokesperson said that it is a proud moment to rollout Jio True 5G in these 34 cities. This will be beneficial to all the Jio users of these cities who can be able to use Jio True 5G technology.
The spokesperson also added, "Jio engineers are working round the clock to deliver True-5G to every Indian so that the transformational power and the exponential benefits of this technology can be experienced by every citizen of the country."
The list of cities that are covered under Jio's 5G network: Amalapuram, Dharmavaram, Kavali, Tanuku, Tuni, Vinukonda (Andhra Pradesh), Bhiwani, Jind, Kaithal, Rewari (Haryana), Dharamshala, Kangra (Himachal Pradesh), Baramulla, Kathua, Katra, Sopore (Jammu & Kashmir), Haveri, Karwar, Ranebennur (Karnataka), Attingal (Kerala), Tura (Meghalaya), Bhawanipatna, Jatani, Khordha, Sundargarh (Odisha), Ambur, Chidambaram, Namakkal, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Sivakasi, Tiruchengode, Viluppuram (Tamil Nadu), and Suryapet (Telangana).
Customers of these 34 cities, including four cities of Odisha, will get access to 5G services. All the users who have 5G supported phones with Jio connectivity are able to use the True 5G Welcome offer without additional charges.
Jio aims to make available True 5G services in every corner of the country by the end of 2023. It is extending its service at a rapid pace and providing users with a free Welcome offer to experience the 5G unlimited service. But users are to be noted that to get the welcome offer, they are required to meet certain eligibility criteria. Firstly, the user needs to recharge a plan with Rs 239 or more. But if you don't have one, you will need to recharge with the Rs 61 data voucher. Then you will be eligible for the Welcome Offer.
According to Reliance, the launch of 5G will provide benefits to the consumers in these regions in the field of education, e-governance, automation, artificial intelligence, healthcare, gaming, IT, agriculture, and SMEs.
