Satish Kaushik Passed Away After The Holi Celebration

Notable actor, writer, and director Satish Kaushik passed away on Wednesday at 67 in Gurugram. His best friend, Anupam Kher, took to Twitter and condoled him. Kher tweeted by sharing a black and white photo, “I know death is the ultimate truth of this world. But never thought to be writing up this news about my best friend  #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on 45 years of friendship!! Life will NEVER be the same without you, SATISH! Om Shanti!”

Satish Kaushik died of a cardiac arrest in the NCR. His dead body is at Fortis Hospital, Gurugram. While Kaushik was on the way to meet someone in Gurugram, his health suddenly deteriorated, and he suffered a cardiac arrest in the car. According to the post mortem report, he was died due to cardiac arrest.

Yesterday after the Holi celebration, Satish took to Twitter and shared pictures with Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Mahima Chaudhri, and many others. He captioned the post, “Colourful Happy Fun #Holi party.”

The news of his demise left Bollywood in shock. Famous celebrities Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar get shocked by this sudden lousy news and reacted through Twitter.

PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “Pained by the untimely demise of Shri Satish Kaushik Ji.”

Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956. He was an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, and producer. He was an alumnus of the National School of Drama (NSD) and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He began his career in theatre.

Later he worked on films such as Mr. India, Saajan Chale Sasural, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Gharwali Baharwali, and many others. In addition, he has directed films such as Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Tere Naam,  Prem, and others.

The actor’s family, in a note, shared that Satish Kaushik’s last rites will take place at 5 pm today, March 9, in Mumbai.
