Amitabh Bachchan Severely Injured While Shooting ‘Project K’

Veteran actor and Bollywood Big B, Amitabh Bachchan, was severely injured while shooting his upcoming film, Project K, in Hyderabad. Taking to his blog on Sunday, he said that he severely hurt himself while shooting for an action shot. He wrote that his rib cartilage was popped and broken, and a muscle tear to the right rib cage during an action shoot in Hyderabad. As a result, he mentioned that the shooting was canceled, and he returned to Mumbai.

Moreover, he wrote that he took a doctor’s consultation and underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. The doctor strapped the affected part and advised him to take proper rest. By sharing his latest health update, he shared that he still feels pain with movement and breathing, but it will take some weeks to become slowly normalised, and some medicines are provided to him to reduce the pain.

He added that all the work would be postponed until he healed completely. He is now residing at the Jalsa and moving slowly for all his essential activities, but he is resting, usually lying around.

He had announced the cancelation of the Sunday visit by writing that it would be difficult for him to meet with his well-wishers at the Jalsa Gate that evening. So he requested them not to come because he could not visit them.

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Project K stars Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Disha Patani. Filmmaker Nag Ashwin is directing the film. The producer and founder of Vyjayanthi Movies, Aswini Dutt, is supporting the project to mark the 50th year of the production house. In January, the film team released the first poster of Deepika Padukone on her birthday. The production house Vyajayanthi movies shared the poster on Instagram with a caption, “wishing our @deepikapadukone a very Happy Birthday.”

On Twitter, the production company Vyjayanthi Movies has shared the movie’s release date. In the coming year, on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, i.e., on January 12, the multi-lingual sci-fi movie will be released in theatres.
