While BJP candidate Pragya Singh Thakur stirred up controversy Thursday following her “Nathuram Godse, a ‘deshbhakt’ (patriot)” remark, lawyer-turned journalist Pragya Tiwari has been beneath the weapons and dealing with backlash for Thakur’s feedback. Pragya Thakur later apologised for the remarks. “It was my personal opinion remark. My intention was not to hurt anyone’s sentiments. If I’ve hurt anyone I do apologise. What Gandhi Ji has done for the country cannot be forgotten. My statement has been twisted by the media,” Thakur stated.
