Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Palestinians are “determined to continue the conflict at any price.” Speaking at his weekly Cabinet assembly Sunday, was referring to the Palestinian management’s rejection of final week’s Mideast peace convention in Bahrain aimed at offering financial help.
Netanyahu says whereas Israel welcomed the US’s $50 billion Palestinian growth plan, the Palestinians themselves denounced it and even arrested a Palestinian businessman who participated in it.
Netanyahu says: “This is not how those who want to promote peace act.”
Palestinian forces have since launched businessman Saleh Abu Mayala.
The Palestinian Authority accuses the Trump administration of being biased towards Israel and has boycotted it because it acknowledged Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in 2017. They accuse the US of attempting to exchange Palestinian statehood with cash.
