Calling for launching a “second freedom struggle” to withstand any NRC train or the CAB by hitting the streets, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday requested staff of her Trinamool Congress to make sure the BJP-led NDA authorities couldn’t snatch individuals’s rights to stay in India. Claiming that West Bengal has already seen 30 deaths as a consequence of suicide or melancholy associated to any attainable National Register of Citizens (NRC) train, she held central leaders of the BJP accountable for the state of affairs.

“They make provocative speeches, statements. If they provoke anybody through their speeches, and it leads to loss of lives, then they have to take responsibility,” Banerjee, who can be the Trinamool supremo, stated.

Asserting that her authorities wouldn’t enable any NRC train in Bengal, she stated elsewhere her celebration would give assist to others to withstand any such efforts.

“We will launch another freedom struggle against NRC and CAB. We could not take part in the first freedom struggle which gave us our freedom. But we will take part in the second freedom movement. We will resist NRC and CAB,” she stated on the Solidarity Day rally organised by her celebration.

Dwelling on the CAB, she questioned how might one differentiate between religions in giving citizenship by going against the letter and spirit of the Indian Constitution. Banerjee, nevertheless, stated she would assist if the intention was to provide citizenship to all people irrespective of faith and caste.

“But if anybody tries to snatch our citizenship, we won’t spare them, we will launch a democratic protest,” she stated, urging Trinamool staff to fearlessly construct up a motion in cubicles, blocks, villages, cities and cities.

Similarly in Bengal, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians are minorities. Here the majority will give protection to the minority. This is our responsibility.”
