They have rented a condo on the Island of Antigua where Capt. Kirk has family. We have a new boat coming early December and will sort where to begin rebuilding the business & our lives in the Caribbean. Conditions on Tortola are improving ever so slowly. A recent trip back there resulted in illness and the sad realization that they can not return and do business as usual. Thank God we have a very generous Boss who instantly purchased the only built ready to go Catamaran on the plant. We will fulfill our obligations for previously booked charters through February and look to go wherever the clients wish. Thank you all for the support, prayers, and much needed clothing items. So Grateful for LIFE! Reply July 7, 2019 Ann-Lise A Where is the idiot who said that Haiti was punoshed for praying the wrong God? What is happening to America, are they being punished for being involved in other countries affairs, for their corruption and greadiness? You damn know it's true, now you going to feel the exact way as they were living, freaking imbeciles! Reply July 7, 2019 Revy perhaps aid could have arrived earlier but these types of shipments take a long time to organize as well as ship. I'm sure they were hungry but they werent going to die, aid was coming they just had to ration for a little bit. this looks like a huge disaster on an island in the atlantic. it took 7 days to re-open the highway near me in canmore AB CANADA surrounded by civilization after a flood. sorry this reporter just seems like a real b*tch, there was no other way to make a story out of this other than baby gets swept away by wind – government does nothing to help, headline. Reply July 7, 2019 Morgan Anderson I feel awful for the people there. This is a terrible situation.I've been to Tortola many times on holiday, and love it there. What a tragedy for all victims of mother nature. However, this reporter Laura Bicker is an ignorant slut. She is a "Clanging Gong". Statements like "Is it acceptable for a week has past there is still limited access to water & food?" This is not a question. Bet she has never attempted to establish an international logistics supply chain in 72 hours. Yellow, sensationalist journalism at it's finest… Let's ask a simple question- What is she doing personally to help beside just whining the government has not done enough? Notice she says nothing about that? Instead she shows up and consumes resources desperately needed by the locals who's plight she is pretending to share. I'm sure if you asked her, how many €'s personally has she given out of her paycheck to humanitarian relief orgs: (Excluding the corrupt UN, which the US primarily pays for compared to her country of orgin…) Bet it would be a big € 00.00!!! She is probably one of those people who think meat comes from the supermarket… (Although I bet she is a vegan!…) Hey idiot- Pure true humanitarian relief & aid comes from charitable organizations, not just some faceless government entity. Charitable organizations bind a community together, not some "State Bureaucracy" staffed by faceless unfeeling people getting a paycheck. Laura Bicker is a Cee U Next Tuesday. Reply July 7, 2019 Lorelei Esser I was in the storm I'm happy to be alive Reply July 7, 2019 Marka Fogarty Every country and state should have rainy day funds for natural disasters, especially those directly and historically in hurricane zones. Puerto Rico, Barbuda, Tortola…..All these islands are shocked, shocked, and now they expect others to DO SOMETHING. It looks like Puerto Rico will get more aid and money than any of the 50 states. Pray that it NEVER gets statehood. So many millions of people with no homes, food, water, medical care, cars etc etc. Heart breaking. Reply July 7, 2019 M I What I don't understand is why are people just trying to get into markets to buy food now when they knew the hurricane was coming. They had enough time to buy food and water to last for at least a week if they only bought a little every other day. I'm sure a lot of people did else the situation would be much worst. People have got to look at how the government responded to other hurricane victims and do things for themselves. They should have put together to get food and water for at least a week. I think most of the people we see on television wait for the government to help them and they get caught without food or water. They don't learn from past performance of the government.
