Composer Anu Malik has denied studies that Sony requested him to step down because the decide of Indian Idol within the wake of a number of sexual allegations in opposition to him, and as a substitute stated he himself instructed the channel he wished to take a break from the present as he was unable to give attention to his work.

Following the allegations made by singers Sona Mohapatra, Shweta Pandit and two unnamed ladies in opposition to the musician, there have been studies that stated Sony had requested the musician to stop the present.

When reached out to Malik for a remark, he stated, “I have issued a statement to the channel ‘I, Anu Malik, have decided to take a break from Indian Idol as I am currently unable to focus on my work on the show.’ The channel has been kind to agree for the same.”

On whether or not he was particularly requested to resign, the composer stated, “They have not asked me to step down. I have taken this stand.”

Sony in a assertion stated, “Anu Mallik is no longer a part of the Indian Idol jury panel. The show will continue its planned schedule and we will invite some of the biggest names in Indian music as guests to join Vishal and Neha to judge the extraordinary talent of Indian Idol season 10.”
